I shopped for my washer and dryer set at Home Depot online. I regret not going to the store to look at it in person, as I didn’t realize just how deep the tub is. I stand 5’2.5” and have a short torso and short arms. I’m also disabled with spinal issues and neuropathy. Needless to say, I have to use grabbers to remove my clothes from the washer because I can’t bend that far to reach the clothes at the bottom of the tub. This is a terrible design for short people. As soon as I realized the issue I have, and before I used the machine, I called both Home Depot and GE and stopped short of begging to exchange the set for a front loader set, but they refused and would not consider the circumstances involved. As far as performance, my clothes come clean, but even with a small load, and all three loads that I’ve done so far, there seems to be a problem with balancing and a vibration on the spin cycle.

We've had the washing machine for 3 weeks (about 15 loads of wash) and like it a lot so far. We especially like the versatility that the numerous wash/rinse settings provide as well as how quiet it is. The quality seems better than the 2 year old Maytag washer we replaced because the plastic on the lid broke/cracked.
